Q: Are color consultations required for never seen clients?
A: Yes. Consultations are separate appointments that help determine if a new, never seen client is a good candidate for color. A thorough assessment of the hair and scalp and a discussion about the client’s color history must happen first to determine how to proceed with color. Consultations give clients the ability to ask questions, obtain a clear understanding of the process as well as the associated costs for the future appointment. Consultations must be performed at least 48 hours prior to color service. Clients that do not schedule an initial consultation will be refused service.
Q: How should I prepare for my color consultation?
A: Please bring 3 inspiration photos to your appointment.
Two photos should be your desired shade and the styling in the photos should mimic how you wear your hair 90% of the time.
One photo should be a color similar to your desired color but that you ultimately dislike.
Hair color is a combination of science and art. While our goal is to always yield pleasurable results, it is our professional duty to maintain the health and integrity of the hair. That said, inspirational photos are just that - inspirational. Color is customized for each client based on their hair’s unique qualities and lifestyle therefore results will vary.
Q: Should my hair be untangled or stretched prior to my styling or color service?
A: Hair does not to be bone straight however it should be manageable. Time spent combing through excessively tangled hair infringes upon appointment time and can delay or inconvenience other clients. If more than 5 minutes are needed to undo tangles/knots, a $30 fee will be added to the total cost of service. Additionally your appointment will be interrupted and further delayed to service on time guests.
Q: Do you take walk ins?
A: No, we are appointment only.
Q: Do you accommodate late arrivals?
A: KrisLovesColor does not double book and prides itself on servicing clients in a timely and professional manner. That said, clients have a 10 minute grace period to arrive. Unfortunately, late arrivals beyond 10 minutes cannot be guaranteed service. In the case a tardy client is serviced, a $30 non refundable late fee will be added to the total cost of service. Additionally your appointment will be interrupted and further delayed to service on time guests.
Q: Are accompaniments stand alone services?
A: The only stand alone accompaniment is a brow tint.
All other listed services are a la carte and will be added to the total cost of your service. Please note that if an accompaniment does not have a selected styling service the appointment will be considered invalid.
Q: Are coloring services for bundle/wig/clip in extensions done the same day?
A: No. Coloring services for extensions are drop off only and require a 50% deposit at the time of drop off.
Q: What methods of payment do you accept?
A: Cash, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, Quickpay.
Q: What is the cancellation policy?
A: Clients have the ability to cancel their appointment 24 hours prior to their scheduled time via the online scheduling system. Anytime beyond 24 hours is the client’s responsibility to call or text to cancel. Last minute cancellations as well as no-shows will incur a $30 nonrefundable fee. No shows will not be able to re-book unless the fee is paid.
Q: What is your pricing policy?
A: All prices are subject to change without prior notice.
Q: What is the industry standard on tipping/gratuity?
A: Tipping is optional but always appreciated. The industry standard is 18-20%.
